Bravo! is Constantly Craving k.d. lang

Bravo!

Canadian songstress and Order of Canada recipient k.d. lang graces the stage in the next installment of Bravo!’s Gemini award-winning concert series Live at the Rehearsal Hall. The veteran artist performs fan favourites and songs from Watershed, her first album of original music in eight years.

After opening the show with her rendition of Neil Young’s Helpless, lang combines jazz, folk-rock, and country with a hint of Brazilian flavour during her Rehearsal Hall appearance. The love ballad Once in a While showcases lang’s remarkably rich voice, while a steel guitar compliments the lush vocals in I Dream of Spring.

Between sets, the four-time Grammy® and eight-time JUNO award-winner discusses her move to Buddhism, her struggle with writer’s block, and being smacked upside the head by love.

Before ending the show with Close Your Eyes, lang entrances the audience with a passionate performance of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah that doesn’t leave a dry eye in the house.
