MTV’s Jessi Cruickshank Interviews Bill Gates on MTV Live, Feb. 21

MTV’s Jessi Cruickshank talks to Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates about the state of technology studies, tomorrow at the University of Waterloo. Mr. Gates is currently on a five-stop North American university tour, discussing the decline of enrolment in science programs. The revealing interview premieres in its entirety on MTV Live on Thursday, Feb. 21 at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. ET.

As always MTV plans a multi-platform and multi-channel campaign to inform viewers about this issue with additional broadcasts on MTV, CTV, mtv.ca and CP24. The broadcasts include:

o mtv.ca – Thursday, Feb. 21, immediately following MTV Live
o MTV Live Shuffle on MTV - Friday, Feb. 22 at 6 p.m. ET
o MTV Live Shuffle on CTV - Saturday, Feb. 23 at 3 p.m. ET
o CP24 (interview highlights) - Thursday, Feb. 21 at approximately 2 p.m. ET

Mr. Gates hopes to excite students about the prospect of a career in science and technology by presenting Microsoft’s latest innovative products. Jessi and Mr. Gates will discuss the decline of youth interest in these employment fields and how he plans to motivate young people to pursue scientific studies.
