| Former GM Doug MacLean Joins HockeyCentral Deadline Day Coverage on Rogers SportsNet |

The Hockeycentral Deadline Day panel has landed a big name with the addition of former NHL General Manager and Head Coach Doug MacLean to an already solid line-up of hockey minds for the deadline day coverage Tuesday, February 26 on Rogers Sportsnet.
“The addition of Doug definitely enhances our NHL Deadline Day coverage,” said Mike English, Executive Producer, Rogers Sportsnet. “His credibility within the game and his ‘tell it like it is’ style are sure to make him a hit with our viewers.”
MacLean joins Sportsnet hockey experts Nick Kypreos, John Garrett, Gord Stellick, Bill Watters, Pierre LeBrun, Mike Brophy and Bill Clement all who will be part of the Deadline Day coverage.
One of the most respected hockey minds in the NHL, MacLean began his NHL career by coaching the expansion Florida Panthers to the 1996 Stanley Cup Final.
The Summerside, PEI native moved on to Columbus in 1998 where he became the Blue Jacket’s first General Manager and President. The Jackets began play in 2001 and MacLean took over as interim Head Coach during the 2002-03 season. His tenure with Columbus ended after the conclusion of the 2006-07 season.
