Global Television revs into high gear this February...

Global Television Network

Get your motor running... Knight Rider, the iconic hit series from the 1980s, returns to the small screen starring up-and-coming talents Justin Bruening (All My Children) and Deanna Russo (The Young and the Restless). David Hasselhoff, who portrayed the lead-role of Michael Knight in the series' original four-season run, makes a special guest-appearance in this two-hour movie event.

Premiering Sunday, February 17 - 9pm ET/PT on Global Television, Knight Rider's original story resumes with a revamped KITT (Knight Industries Three Thousand) - voiced by Canadian Will Arnett (Arrested Development, 30 Rock), sporting a sleek new look as a Ford Mustang Shelby GT500KR. KITT is back on the case to find out who is behind the attempt to procure him, and locate the whereabouts of his genius creator, Dr. Charles Graiman who is missing and in grave danger.

Knight Rider is directed by Steve Shill (Dexter, The Tudors); Dave Bartis (Heist) and Doug Liman (Mr. & Mrs. Smith) serve as executive producers.

In addition, HBO's Emmy(R)- and Golden Globe(R) nominated drama, Big Love season one (12 episodes x 1hour) makes its network premiere on Global Thursday, February 7 - 10pm ET/PT. At first glance, Bill Henrickson seems to lead a typical suburban life. A hard-working husband and father of seven, this Salt Lake City native tries to find enough time for his family while overseeing the expansion of his successful home-improvement business. But Bill is also a polygamist - and with three wives and three homes to maintain, his life is anything but ordinary. Starring Bill Paxton (Apollo 13), Jeanne Tripplehorn (The Firm), Chloe Sevigny (Boys Don't Cry) and Ginnifer Goodwin (Mona Lisa Smile), the series features Canadian Douglas Smith (Peter Pan, Citizen Duane) as Bill and Barb's teenage son Ben.

"Global continues to heat things up in primetime," said Barbara Williams, Executive Vice President, Content, Canwest Broadcasting. "We have an amazing range of programming, from returning fan favourites to critically-acclaimed drama series, and highly anticipated specials - it's the one-stop destination for television entertainment."
