A-Channel to air final Lonesome Dove chapter; important changes to Smallville, Terminator and Dance Wars
Posted on Thursday, January 10, 2008 - 03:53 PM
A-Channel

A few scheduling changes where recently announced impacting the new Terminator series, Smallville and Dance Wars: Bruno vs Carrie Ann. A-Channel will also air Commanche Moon.

COMMANCHE MOON
First, A-Channel will air a new six-hour mini-series based on the book by Larry McMurtry, and the final chapter in the "Lonesome Dove" saga to be made into a movie starring Val Kilmer, Steve Zahn, Rachel Griffiths, Karl Urban, Linda Cardellini, Elizabeth Banks and Wes Studi.

COMANCHE MOON follows Texas Rangers Augustus "Gus" McCrae (Zahn) and Woodrow F. Call (Urban), now in their middle years, as they continue to deal with the ever-increasing tensions of adult life--Gus with his great love, Clara Forsythe (Cardellini), and Call with Maggie Tilton (Banks), the young prostitute who loves him and bears him his son, Newt (Joseph Castanon). Kilmer plays Captain Inish Scull, a Yankee aristocrat and hero of the recently concluded Mexican War. Griffiths plays Inez Scull, the Captain's sexy wife who doesn't hesitate to fill her time with other men when he's away from home. Wes Studi plays Comanche Chief Buffalo Hump.

The series will air as follow:
Sunday, January 13th @ 9pm
Tuesday, January 15th @ 9pm
Wednesday, January 16th @ 9pm
The series is in simulcast with CBS.

DANCE WARS MOVES TO A-CHANNEL
It was also annoounced that Dance Wars will move from CTV to A-Channel starting Monday, January 14th @ 8pm.

NEW TERMINATOR SERIES PREMIERES ON CTV
Terminator: the Sarah Connor Chronicles will premiere Sunday, January 13th @ 9pm. It will then move to Mondays @ 9pm the following day. It is unclear at this time if this move is permanent. Remember that the series was originally schedule to air on CTV then moved to A-Channel and now its back on CTV! However, due to the fact that A-channel announced the move of Dance Wars to its monday schedule, it is likely that Terminiator will stay put mondays on CTV if the ratings are satisfactory.

SMALLVILLE MOVES TO SUNDAYS @ 5PM
Smallville will now air Sundays at 5pm starting Sunday January 20th until further notice.
Jan. 11 update: I forgot to specify that this is for A-Channel Victoria ONLY. I apologize for the confusion.

TWO AND A HALF MEN NOW ON CTV
