| Cogeco Cable adds The Movie Network's Mpix OnDemand to its Ontario digital line-up |

Cogeco Cable and The Movie Network announced that Mpix OnDemand will launch today as part of Cogeco’s Ontario digital line-up. Beginning today, all Cogeco Cable Digital television customers who subscribe to The Movie Network and Superstations Movie Package will have free access to Mpix OnDemand, a subscription video on-demand (SVOD) service offering classic movies which are five years or older.
“On Demand content is exclusive to cable. Thanks to cable, our customers can experience a true interactive technology that allows them to choose, play, pause or rewind the program they want at the time they want. Mpix OnDemand is a compelling premium service on Cogeco On Demand. As we continue to invest in our state-of-the-art cable network, we will continue to launch new On Demand content and digital services as they become available,” declared Mr. Ron Perrotta, Vice President, Marketing of Cogeco Cable.
Mpix OnDemand joins the Cogeco On Demand offering, putting viewers in control of movies from every era and genre including Star Trek, A Perfect Murder, Talented Mr. Ripley, Halloween and The Ultimate Bond Event, an exclusive preview of 18 007 films on-demand beginning Tuesday, November 13. Mpix OnDemand offers 75 hours of programming at any given time with 25 per cent of the content refreshed weekly, all in an uncut and commercial-free environment.
“Mpix complements The Movie Network's channel line-up and together they offer our subscribers the best value and must-have movie service available to Canadians,” said Domenic Vivolo, Senior Vice President Marketing & Sales, Astral Television Networks. “As we have seen with the success of The Movie Network OnDemand, subscribers expect choice, convenience and control when it comes to their television viewing and we are pleased that Cogeco Cable subscribers will now be able to enjoy Mpix OnDemand and its slate of timeless classics on their own schedule, 24-hours a day.”
Mpix OnDemand will be available on channel 207 of from the Cogeco On Demand main menu to Cogeco Digital Cable customers, as part of the “Movie Network and Superstations Movie” theme package. Current subscribers of this package will incur no additional fees.
