Gol TV Canada

Insight Sports Ltd. announced today that former senior Canadian soccer executive Kevan Pipe has joined the organization's GOLTV sport specialty channel in a consulting role. Pipe will begin his duties with Insight Sports effective immediately.

"With the success of the 2007 FIFA Under-20 World Cup and the emergence of Toronto FC, the popularity of soccer in Canada is arguably at its highest point ever," said Pipe. "I'm looking forward to working with Insight Sports to help further build and strengthen the GOLTV brand across a wide range of platforms."

As a consultant for GOLTV, Pipe will assist in the strategic business development of the network in the areas of events, sales, marketing and programming.

"Kevan's background as one of the most experienced national sport leaders in Canada will play a key role in the ongoing development of GOLTV," said Kevin Albrecht, President and Chief Executive Officer of Insight Sports. "With Kevan on board we look forward to utilizing his expertise as one of Canada's foremost soccer experts."

An executive with more than 30 years experience in developing soccer in Canada, including 21 years as head of the Canadian Soccer Association, Pipe recently launched Kevan Pipe Sports Consulting INC., a firm with clients in Montreal and Toronto.

Pipe continues to represent FIFA and CONCACAF internationally. Among his selected appointments, Pipe currently serves as a consultant for FIFA in the areas of stadium, security and ticket programming and is a member of the organization's Referees Committee.

He was also named CONCACAF's Head General Coordinator for the 2007 Gold Cup and served two years as a member of the organizing committee for the 2007 FIFA Under-20 World Cup.
