Channel Introduction: MuchMoreRetro
Posted on Friday, March 07, 2003 - 01:58 PM
MuchMoreRetro

CHUM Television today announced the expansion of its music services roster. Dedicated to the musicvideos of the 80s and 90s, MuchMoreRetro will be available through various cable and satellite distributors beginning in April.

Inspired by the 'retro' programming success of sister station MuchMoreMusic, MuchMoreRetro has been uniquely styled for those who grew up watching their music on television. From the artform's early, experimental years, to the big-budget extravaganzas of the last decade, MuchMoreRetro will be the source for 24/7 classic videoflow from artists including The Police, Madonna, Bon Jovi, Corey Hart, Prince, Aerosmith, Duran Duran, Janet Jackson, Rush, Nirvana and Alanis Morissette and more.

"We're delighted to be able to build on the success of CHUM's MuchMoreMusic brand. The audience's loyalty, and often emotional feedback to our style of programming this era of musicvideo has been overwhelming", said David Kines, Vice President and General Manager of MuchMusic, MuchMoreMusic, MuchLOUD, MuchVibe and MuchMoreRetro. "The service will be a must-get for fans whose memories are defined by these videos."
