New season of Trailer Park Boys travels south of the border for new outrageous moneymaking scheme

With a movie under their belts and a book about to be published, the Trailer Park Boys franchise is bigger than ever – and showing no signs of slowing down. Next month, the Boys take their moneymaking schemes across the U.S. border in ten all-new episodes of Trailer Park Boys.

This seventh season includes guest appearances by Sebastian Bach, former lead singer of Skid Row, country music singer George Canyon, and the late Denny Doherty, founding member of The Mamas and the Papas. The new season begins Sunday, April 8 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Showcase.

In an exclusive online preview, the first episode of the new season will be streamed online at showcase.ca/tpb beginning April 2, the week prior to the on-air broadcast. The following nine episodes will be streamed the morning after their broadcast premieres on Showcase.

“We’re so proud of the huge success and growing fan base of this show. For Showcase to be able to present this hilarious new season in widescreen HD is an additional bonus for loyal fans and new viewers alike,” says Tara Ellis, VP of Content for Showcase.

The new season revolves around the Boys’ cross-border shenanigans: the cheap price of dope in Canada means Julian (John Paul Tremblay) and Ricky (Robb Wells) must look for opportunities south of the border to make a profit. Bubbles (Mike Smith) decides he needs a hobby and starts collecting model trains. At a train convention in Maine he meets Sebastian Bach (who guest stars as himself throughout this season). Bach likes Ricky's dope, and is willing to pay a premium for it. Julian has an idea: to smuggle the drugs into the United States, the boys and their new accomplices will build a model train track through the forest across the border and hide weed in the freight cars of the train. George Canyon stars as a forest ranger and Denny Doherty is a DEA agent in hot pursuit of the Boys as they hatch their plan.

Over the course of Season 7, J-Roc (Jonathan Torrens) develops a profitable business so that he can take care of his expanding family, and enlists Sarah (Sarah Dunsworth), Lucy (Lucy Decoutere) and Tyrone (Tyrone Parsons) to help him. Meanwhile, Lahey (John Dunsworth) goes off the deep end, Ray (Barrie Dunn) gets into trouble, and Randy (Pat Roach) and Phil Collins (Richard Collins) become entrepreneurs. Also back for Season 7 are Barb Lahey (Shelley Thompson), Jacob Collins (Jacob Rolfe) and Trinity (Jeanna Harrison). Series creator and head writer Mike Clattenburg directs.

Ricky, Julian and Bubbles will be available for media interviews in Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg, Toronto and Halifax the week of April 2. The Complete Trailer Park Boys book, published by Random House, will be available in stores in April. Season 6 of Trailer Park Boys will be available on DVD in May.
