CBC Country Canada to air Rolex FEI World Cup

CBC Country Canada is pleased to present exclusive Canadian coverage of the Rolex FEI World CupTM from the Goteborg Horse Show in Sweden on Saturday, March 3rd at 2 p.m. ET(same-day repeats at 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. ET; next-day repeats Sunday, March 4th at 12 p.m. and 11 p.m. ET). The digital channel will also air the final event of the lead-up to the World Cup from The Netherlands on March 31st followed by the Rolex FEI World CupTM Finals from Las Vegas in April.

The prestigious annual competition, now in its 29th season, comprises of 14 leagues from all corners of the world features the best riders from 132 preliminary competitions.

“The World Cup is home to some of the best, and most exiting, jumping in the world,” says Francis Litzinger, Executive Producer, CBC Country Canada. “We are thrilled to continue with our proud tradition of showcasing the best and most unique world-class sports coverage, especially after the successes of the World Equestrian Games and the 2004 Olympics on Country Canada.”

Country Canada is also broadcasting the Samsung FEI Super League starting in May 2007. The Super League consists of the world’s eight best national teams competing at the eight most prestigious horse shows across Europe.
