Returning to CH Television Summer 2007, the season five casting for "Last Comic Standing" kicks off the quest to find the planet's funniest comic. The worldwide search officially begins in Los Angeles on February 26 with five U.S. stops and for the first time ever, international locations - Montreal, London and Sydney, Australia.

This season, the show is raising the stakes with a cash prize. The grand prize winner will receive $250,000, an exclusive talent contract with NBC Universal and a half hour comedy special. Comedian and U.S. Paralympic soccer player Josh Blue earned the title at the end of the fourth season of this popular unscripted laughfest.

Taking over hosting duties this season is actor/comedian Bill Bellamy (Def Comedy Jam, Any Given Sunday). Bellamy is joined by talent scouts - and former show contestants - comedians Alonzo Bodden, Kathleen Madigan and ANT.
