High Fidelity HDTV Inc. Receives 7 New HD Licence Approvals from CRTC

The CRTC today granted High Fidelity seven new HD licence approvals, which will enable the company to offer the rapidly growing number of Canadian HD viewers additional smart, refreshing, and beautiful HD programming choices.

“We are very pleased that the CRTC has granted these 7 new licence approvals”, said David Patterson, Senior Vice President, High Fidelity HDTV, “In addition to our existing suite of HD channels, OasisHD, Treasure HD, Equator HD, and Rush HD, High Fidelity believes that HD viewers across Canada will love these new channels.”

High Fidelity, an independent broadcaster, brings innovative and all-original HD programming to Canadian viewers, and will continue to do so via the seven new HD licence approvals granted.

Clash HD is about the friction points in the human condition: conflict, tension, competing interests and how we cope, for better or for worse. Aqua HD is devoted to the theme of water and life in, on, and around bodies of water, including boating and high-octane water adventure. Crafts & Hobbies HD will be fun, friendly and sometimes frilly, a channel for the millions of Canadian craftspeople and hobbyists and their world. Seniors Life HD will be for those at the leading edge of the largest Canadian demographic: the boomers, enriching the lifestyles of people aged 50 and more. Eureka! HD will explore issues related to science and technology. Centre Stage HD will bring Canadians the best in musical performing arts from around the corner and around the world, featuring full-length concerts, festivals and performances. Women’s Sports HD will be devoted to sports programs and physical fitness programs that feature female athletes or participants or are of particular interest
to Canadian women.
