YTV Pays Tribute to Inuyasha Series Finale

The popular Japanese anime series Inuyasha comes to an end this Friday, December 1 at 9 p.m., as YTV airs the series finale in Bionix, YTV’s anime programming block. It’s a cliff-hanging end to the series that combines ancient Japanese folklore, epic storylines and blazing action. And though we are wishing Kagome and Inuyasha a fond farewell after 167 episodes, fans don’t need to worry as the series will continue to air every Friday night in repeats.

In this very last episode, Inuyasha and friends are lead to a temple ruled by a mysterious demon slayer, Goryomaru, who Kagura attacks. Suspecting that Naraku may have used the spot as a hiding place for his infant incarnation, Kagura is defeated and discovered near death by Sesshomaru. Before leaving to gather more clues, Kagura explains the secret to defeating Naraku. But even though Inuyasha discovers the infant incarnation, they are lead right into a trap.

The network will pay tribute to Inuyasha by airing the movie Inuyasha 3: Sword of an Honorable Ruler on Friday, December 29 at 9 p.m. In this action-packed film, Sou'unga, the legendary sword, which once belonged to the Great Dog Demon, is unleashed. It is up to Inuyasha to join forces with his hateful brother, Sesshoumaru, and put an end to the evil sword that has the power to doom mankind.

YTV, Canada’s number one youth network, is seen in over eight million homes across Canada.
