NHL Network offers more live hockey than ever with an unprecedented 34-game live regular season broadcast schedule in 2006/07 - the most extensive broadcast package in the network's five-year history.
NHL Network's newest initiative - Fan Favourite - gives viewers the opportunity to choose which game will be broadcast on four separate occasions. In the days leading up to each game, viewers can log onto www.nhlnetwork.ca to pick their Fan Favourite game. Results will be announced on the network's signature show, NHL On The Fly, the day before the scheduled match-up. (See Fan Favourite broadcast schedule below.)
The network's live game coverage gets underway on Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 10 p.m. ET with a look at two revamped squads as the New York Islanders visit Chris Pronger's new team, the Anaheim Ducks.
NHL on The Fly returns for a fifth season tonight - opening night of the 06/07 season - at 9 p.m. ET. Hosted by Dan Pollard and Todd Lewis, the program airs nightly from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. ET, featuring every goal, every shootout, every night, as well as expert analysis from NHL veterans Gary Green, Dave Reid and Bill Berg. NHL On The Fly: Final follows at 1 a.m. ET with a daily one-hour NHL wrap-up/highlights show.
