This weekend when the world’s best professional skateboarders come to Hamilton’s Copps Coliseum for the West 49 Canadian Open presented by Xbox, fans around the world will be able to tune in as the event will become Canada’s first Action Sports event to be broadcast live via webcast.

The World Cup Skateboarding Tour Canadian stop, which will feature the participation of Action Sports Superstar Shaun White, will be broadcast live on MSN Sympatico from Friday, September 29th through Sunday, October 2nd.

“We’re thrilled that we’re able to team up with MSN Sympatico to bring this leading technology to the West 49 Canadian Open and allow fans around the world to be a part of this popular event,” said Mark Taylor, vice president of event properties for IMG Canada. “With the participation of Shaun White, this year’s event promises
to be the best yet, so it is fitting that this is the year that we are able to make it the first Canadian Action Sports event to be broadcast live via webcast.”

In addition to MSN Sympatico’s live webcast of the West 49 Canadian Open presented by Xbox, Bell Express Vu will deliver a live pay-per-view broadcast of the event to Bell Express Vu subscribers and Bell Mobility subscribers will be able to download highlights of the event to their mobile phones.
