Production Begins On Season 2 Of Mantracker

Outdoor Life Network

OLN, together with Toronto-based Bonterra Productions, announced today a second season of the original OLN series Mantracker has been ordered. Principal photography begins on Sat., July 22. You can also apply to be part of the show!

Season 2 will be comprised of eight, one-hour episodes, growing from the first season's 30-minute format. In another departure from the first season's format the prey featured in each episode of season 2 will have a pre-existing relationship and will potentially include friends, family, co-workers and even bitter enemies! Applicants are encouraged to email apply@mantracker.ca. This format will see each episode this season delve deeper into the strategy of the prey and Mantracker. Season 2 of Mantracker will be shot in a variety of remote locations across Canada, throughout British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec. A broadcast date has not been announced.

Throughout each hour-long episode, two people team up and attempt to outwit and outrun Mantracker to the finish line. For an adrenaline-charged 36 hours, the pairs travel through extremely difficult terrain. Trekking through deep woods, rugged rock face and rushing rivers, the prey has a head start - but Mantracker has a horse - and these adventurers have a target on their backs every step of the way.

"OLN is thrilled to bring this unique adventure series back for a second season," said Anna Stambolic, Director of OLN. "Mantracker is a perfect fit for OLN, ripe with compelling characters, outdoor adventure and rugged challenges."

"We are very proud of the current success of Mantracker and our continuing partnership with OLN," said Ihor Macijiwsky, executive producer of Mantracker and president of Bonterra productions. "By marrying the thrill of the chase of blockbuster feature films with the forensic investigative techniques so hot on mainstream television today, Mantracker is a full hour of white-knuckle intensity."

Mantracker is a veteran cowboy and expert outdoorsman trained by the Alberta Foothills search and rescue team to track and retrieve missing persons in the bush. He is totally unflappable - even when tracking in extreme weather conditions - and to him, this is no game. His reputation is on the line and he will stop at nothing to catch his prey.

Based in Toronto, Ontario, Bonterra Productions' portfolio includes over one hundred internationally distributed and critically acclaimed documentary television programs including the co-productions Great Canadian Parks, Great Canadian Rivers and Ultimate Response for Discovery Channel.
