Kenny vs. Spenny Currently in Production in Toronto

Kenny Hotz and Spencer Rice star in Kenny vs. Spenny, a unique reality/comedy series revolving around the eternally dysfunctional roommates Kenny and Spenny. Breakthrough Films & Television, and Blueprint Entertainment have announced that 13 new half-hour episodes are in production in Toronto until late August and will air on Showcase in Canada beginning on Thursday, October 19, 2006 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT.

Each week these best friends and bitter rivals challenge each other in outrageous competitions, with the loser suffering a dreadful humiliation of the winner's choosing. Kenny is an ethically-challenged, wisecracking schemer who is always looking for a shortcut to victory, while Spenny is a neurotic basket case who believes that taking the high road will lead him to victory.

The guys will stop at nothing to win, often recruiting an odd array of outcasts, experts, relatives and ex-girlfriends to help them.

Kenny Vs Spenny has taken the age-old struggle between good and evil to unforeseen lows, and given its worldwide audience a voyeuristic look into the depths of stunted maturity and uncompromising idiocy.

"Spenny is on the brink of a nervous breakdown, and I'm doing everything I can to make it happen," says Kenny Hotz, Executive Producer and Co-Creator. "I've spoken to my lawyer and my only hope is that the show gets cancelled," adds Spencer Rice, Executive Producer and Co-Creator.

"Each year the competitions and humiliations become more outrageous," says John Morayniss, Executive Producer of Kenny vs. Spenny. "This season, viewers will not believe what these two guys will do to beat the other," adds Ira Levy, Executive Producer of Kenny vs. Spenny.

The envelope-pushing Kenny vs. Spenny has been dubbed "North Park" by virtue of Kenny's close friendship with Trey Parker and Matt Stone of TV's "South Park," of which Kenny wrote and consulted on Season 9. The Canadian duo of Hotz and Rice has also been featured on Late Night with Conan O'Brien.

Competitions in this season's episodes will include "The First to Laugh Loses," "Who Do Gay Guys Like Better?", "Who Can Keep an Octopus On His Head the Longest?", and "Who Can Produce the Most Semen?". The challenges result in glory for the winner and humiliation for the loser.

And if that weren't enough for the legions of hardcore fans of Kenny and Spenny, last season's 15 episodes will air on Showcase beginning on Saturday, September 30, 2006 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

The format and/or series Kenny vs. Spenny has been sold to the U.S., Australia, Colombia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Latin America, New Zealand, Scandinavia, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine and the U.K. Kenny vs. Spenny is a co-production of Blueprint Entertainment Inc. and Breakthrough Films & Television.
