In this breaking exclusive story, eTalk reports that the CBC will bump Peter Mansbridge and The National when it simulcasts the new American reality series The One: Making A Music Star, this summer.
The new U.S. reality series, produced by Endomol USA, is scheduled to make its 2-hour debut on ABC on Tuesday, July 18. According to several published reports, the 16-part series will air Tuesday nights from 9:30-11 p.m. ET through to September 6.
Today, the public broadcaster confirmed to eTalk that it is bumping its flagship, national newscast in certain markets to make room for the American reality program.
Find out how the CBC has positioned this maneuver, tonight on eTalk, and stay tuned to find out the industry reaction to the news. eTalk, Canada's Most-Watched Entertainment Newsmagazine, airs weeknights at 7 p.m. ET (check local listings) on CTV.
