Jump inside the world of America's best junior equestrians as they struggle with the daily drama of the high-powered horse show circuit. Premiering Tues., May 2 at 8 p.m. ET/9 p.m. PT on Animal Planet, Horse Power: Road to Maclay follows the best teen competitors as they race to prove they're number one.
This compelling six-part series goes behind the scenes at various stables where trainers work with ambitious teenagers who try to balance the pressures of adolescence with the perfection of equestrian pursuits. Each episode follows seven teens as they train and participate in the horse show circuit. From farm girls to Park Avenue princesses, from untrained ponies to CDN $600,000 champion horses, follow the drama as they compete with each other - and themselves - for the ultimate junior title. Each episode exposes the emotional bond between horse and rider and the importance of this relationship when the stakes are raised. As they train for the Maclay Medal Finals, watch the sacrifices of the riders' families, the athleticism of the horses, the dedication of the coaches and the ambition of the riders converge en route to the finals.
Horse Power: Road to Maclay - Episode 1

Follow some of the most interesting characters in the show jumping world as riders Maggie, Natalie, Maria, Chelsea, Lindsay, Brianne and Nikko share their most intimate thoughts, hopes and fears through their own video diaries. Watch as their relationships with their horses, trainers and each other unfold as they prepare for intense competition.
Horse Power: Road to Maclay - Episode 2

The competition heats up between Beacon Hill and Heritage Farm stables as riders train for strong regional performances. Witness the influence and counsel of the trainers come into play as the teens struggle with the pressures to achieve their goals and place highly in the rankings at each event.

The regional competitions continue with the riders struggling to make the cut. Watch as riders balance personal challenges and the pressures to succeed at the regionals. Who will qualify and who will go home?
Horse Power: Road to Maclay - Episode 4
Tues., May 23 at 8 p.m. ET/9 p.m. PT
After the conclusion of the Maclay Regionals the riders turn their attention to the next big show. The USET Final is Chelsea's last chance to qualify for Maclay - can she rank high enough? Meanwhile, Maggie's mom is heading into surgery, which means that she and her dad have to hit the show alone. Will her concern for her mother affect her performance?
Horse Power: Road to Maclay - Episode 5
Tues., May 30 at 8 p.m. ET /9 p.m. PT
The prestigious competition in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, is among the oldest national finals in equestrian riding. Brianne has already won two of the four finals but will she be able to add one more to her trophy case? This is Maria's last competition with her circuit-winning horse Amigo - but can she develop a rapport with a new horse in time for the big Maclay Finals? Meanwhile, Chelsea is shaken by her disastrous showing a week earlier - she will need to fight her insecurities to rise to the challenge. Nikko adds a little extra to his course but will this risk cost him a ribbon? This is the last chance for farm girl Lindsay to make it to the Maclay Finals, but an unexpected twist could cost her any hope of placing.
