Canada's favourite bawdy puppets return for a fourth deadly season of murder and mayhem in the multi-award-winning series, Puppets Who Kill. Thirteen all-new killer episodes premiere Thursday, March 2 at 10 p.m. ET/PT exclusively on The Comedy Network.
Dan Barlow (Dan Redican), the hapless social worker who runs a halfway house for paroled puppets, and his motley crew - Rocko (Bruce Hunter), Cuddles (Bob Martin), Buttons (Jim Rankin) and Bill (Gordon Robertson) - prove once again that there is no humiliation too great, no crime too petty, no sex too sinful and no deed too devious that they won't take on.

Season 4: "Joyride"
(Front L:R)- Bill, Cuddles and Rocko
In the fourth season premiere, "The Joyride," the puppets steal a car from outside a variety store and head out for a joyride. Little do they realize the car belongs to a mobster and that there's a body in the back seat. They are further troubled when the body turns out to be alive and a mobster shows up to seek revenge.
Also this season, the series continues its annual homage to classic film. In "Mr. Big," a special black and white episode that pays tribute to old 1940's B-movies, Cuddles is drawn into a web of mystery when he accidentally acquires a mysterious Falcon from deadly criminals and is mistaken for a notorious crime boss named Mr. Big.
Other highlights from the season include:
·While visiting her son, Dan's mother begins to believe that her boy has an Oedipus complex - a belief fuelled by Rocko and a series of coincidences.
·In a PR stunt, Buttons publicly grants a dying woman her last wish - to sleep with him - but is horrified when she unexpectedly recovers and wants more.
·Bill is set to marry a beautiful woman while ignoring news reports about a femme fatale murdering at an alarming rate.
·Buttons momentarily dies on the operating table. When his ghost comes back to haunt the halfway house and sleeps with Dan's girlfriend, Dan calls in a ghostbuster to get rid of him.
A cult hit among viewers, Puppets Who Kill is also a favourite among Canadian actors who clamour for guest starring roles. This season's guest stars include David Fox (Road to Avonlea), Leah Pinsent (This is Wonderland), Tom McCamus (Waking Up Wally: The Walter Gretzky Story), Stephen McHattie (A History of Violence), Patrick McKenna (The Red Green Show), Peter Outerbridge (Men With Brooms), and Fiona Reid (My Big Fat Greek Wedding).
Since its 2002 debut, Puppets Who Kill has set a Comedy Network record with
14 Gemini Award nominations and has racked up numerous awards including:
three Geminis for Best Writing (2003), Best Direction (2004), and Best Photography (2005); a 2003 Canadian Comedy Award for Best Direction; and a
2003 Bronze Rose d'Or for Best Sitcom awarded by the prestigious Montreux International Television Festival in Switzerland.
Season One of Puppets Who Kill is available on DVD in stores across Canada and the US. A DVD for Season Two is currently in the works.
