Newlyweds Struggle to Blend Their Respective Families in the Contemporary Comedy I Do, They Don't
Posted on Wednesday, February 08, 2006 - 05:04 PM
Family

While enjoying a weekend holiday in Las Vegas, Carrie (Josie Bissett) and Jim (Rob Estes) spontaneously decide to get married, only to realize the next morning that when you have eight kids, what happens in Vegas, doesn't always stay in Vegas. I Do, They Don't, an original movie, makes its Canadian television premiere on Astral Media's Family Channel on Friday, March 3 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

When Carrie and Jim return home, they move both families under one roof but quickly discover that mixing Carrie's kids with Jim's will be more of a challenge than either had anticipated. Leading the rebellion is Jim's eldest daughter Sandy (Lyndsy Fonseca), a high school senior who resents Carrie for taking over her role of 'mother' in the household.

Carrie and Jim soon realize that the stress involved in blending their two families together is taking a heavy toll on their relationship. Carrie finds her once perfectly detailed life of schedules and memos spinning out of control while Jim's carefree life is now full of complications and added responsibilities. Both begin to question whether the decision to marry and unite their two families was a wise one.

I Do, They Don't is an ABC Family original movie written by Stu Krieger, directed by Steve Robman and executive produced by Jana Sue Memel.
