Don't miss the one-hour premiere of "The Kids of Dawson's Creek: The E! True Hollywood Story" Saturday, January 14th at 8:00pm ET/5:00pm PT on Star!
Very few shows can make four unknown actors superstars, have a successful five year run and practically put a network on the television map, but "Dawson's Creek" did just that. Millions of viewers tuned in week after week to watch the kids of fictional Capeside, Massachusetts suffer through the pangs of adolescents they knew all too well. Not to mention, also paving the way for a slew of other teen shows and changing the careers (and lives) of Michelle Williams, Katie Holmes, Joshua Jackson and James Van Der Beek forever.
On screen, Dawson and the gang confronted issues of sex, drugs, infidelity and homosexuality, even airing the first televised kiss between two men. But not all the drama was scripted. In fact, for a fictional town, Capeside had more than its share turmoil. Backstage rivalries, slow film careers and an isolated set in North Carolina all became sore spots for the cast, and ironically, as the quiet off-screen romance between Joshua and Katie began to cool, their characters on-screen relationship began to take off.
Find out the real storylines behind the show that started the teen drama phenomena. Watch "The Kids of Dawson's Creek: The E! True Hollywood Story" Saturday, January 14th at 8:00pm ET/5:00pm PT on Star!
