Much Music

MuchMusic is pleased to announce that "Star! Daily's" Dina Pugliese (pronounced pool-ye-a-zay) will host its newly expanded reality tv franchise, "MuchMusic VJ Search: The Series".

A familiar face to Toronto viewers, Pugliese began her on-air career in
2003 as an entertainment reporter for Toronto 1, and was soon elevated to the station's primetime spot as Host of the "A-List". A self confessed pop culture junkie, she joined Star!'s entertainment news and celebrity showcase, "Star! Daily" in December, 2005, and is now on-board to host MuchMusic's ramped-up reality tv show, "MuchMusic VJ Search: The Series" - beginning in just four weeks time on Citytv Toronto, Vancouver, Winnipeg, Edmonton & Calgary on Monday, Jan. 30th @ 8pm ET/CT/MT/PT and nationwide on MuchMusic on Tuesday, Jan. 31st @ 7pm ET.

In the weeks to come, MuchMusic will unveil the VJ Search panel of industry insiders who will provide finalists with upfront, no-holds-barred feedback and expert advice, as well as exciting news on the ultra-cool downtown VJ Search Penthouse where hopefuls will duke it out for ultimate VJ supremacy.

"MuchMusic VJ Search: The Series" is produced by Insight Production
Company Ltd. and in association with CHUM Television.

Don't miss Dina's debut as Co-Host of "Star! Daily" on Monday,
January 9th at 6:30pm ET/3:30 PT on Star! and 7:30pm ET/11:35pm PT on A- Channel.

This is MuchMusic: Recognized by Strategy magazine as the 'Brand of the Year' for 2005, MuchMusic is an integral part of today's pop culture landscape - delivering fans an unparalleled music television experience since August 31, 1984. Direct from our critically-acclaimed streetlevel studios in downtown Toronto, each and every program day not only hits the best in top musicvideo, but creates a destination where fans can stay connected to "The Nation's Music Station". Here's how... MuchMusic consistently delivers exclusive LIVE performance and interview with world-famous musical artists and celebrity guests, critically-acclaimed specialty programming, breaking entertainment news, innovative wireless content and Canada's favourite Web site for teens, www.muchmusic.com. Along with marquee franchises including MuchOnDemand, MuchNews and The MuchMusic Video Awards, top rated series including Live@Much and The NewMusic, are distributed to 120 countries internationally.

"MuchMusic VJ Search: The Series": a gruelling experience for an eclectic crop of fame seekers thrust headlong in front of cameras 24/7 in the toughest, most emotional job interview they will ever face. 20 semi-finalists will be chosen from the thousands of entries. On national television, they will face a subsequent cut where 10 finalists will be left standing. This lucky group will then be flown to Toronto to live in a luxurious downtown VJ Search Penthouse filled with temptation and challenges. From the time they land, these hopefuls must prove their skills, style, personality and character. Throughout, fans can rate the candidates via email and text-messaging with viewer voting ultimately deciding VJ supremacy.
