With the addition of Phoenix North America Chinese channel, Rogers continues to offer the most multicultural programming in 20 different languages on 38 multicultural channels.
"Rogers has been the leader in bringing multicultural programming to Canada," said David Purdy, Vice-President and General Manager, Television for Rogers Cable. "As the diversity and size of our multicultural communities expands, there is an ever growing need for programming services in languages other than English and French. Rogers is committed to providing its customers with what they want, when they want with Personal TV."
The 2001 Census of Population indicated that more than one million Canadians are of Chinese origin, over 60% of which speak Mandarin, Cantonese, Hunan or another Chinese dialect at home.
