A-Channel Announces 11pm News Anchor
Posted on Friday, October 14, 2005 - 10:50 AM
A-Channel

A-Channel is pleased to announce Ottawa native Lisa Hillary will be returning to the A-Channel, to anchor A-Channel News at 11.

Hillary is a graduate of the Television Broadcasting program at Algonquin College. She began her broadcasting career as a general assignment reporter at CHUM's Pembroke station, before moving on to cover the sports beat.

Hillary served as a correspondent for TSN in Calgary, and soon found herself co-host of the weekend edition of SportsCentre. Hillary made her way back to Ottawa last year working for the Score Television Network. Hillary is committed to Ottawa and says she is ready to return to the newsroom.

"Sports is a passion of mine, but I was ready for a change – and the transition back to news was a natural one," says Hillary. "A-Channel's strong commitment to local news and the community is a perfect match with my interests."

Hillary begins work with A-Channel on Monday, October 17 and will make her debut on A-Channel News at 11 on Thursday, October 20.
