Programming Series Descriptions

;@issue – (Mon to Thurs @ 8pm ET) Join our team of correspondents who provide an independent journalistic perspective that goes beyond the headlines, as we tackle the issues that matter to Canadians most.  Education, daycare, heath-care, taxes, violence in our homes and on our streets, our relations with the U.S., terrorism and security, our cities, the environment, and what you and your family are putting in your mouth.  In depth, and in context – you can count on getting more than the headlines. We bring you the brightest minds, we ask the tough questions, and we even let you “talk back”.

Let’s Talk – (Sunday at 7pm ET) An intimate and revealing, insightful and sometimes provocative one on one discussion with well known, highly regarded and engaging individuals from Canada and around the world with interesting, unique and informative perspectives on life in the 21st Century.

Investigative Affairs - (Mon to Thurs @ 9pm ET) With each episode travel the globe, as we bring you the very best in Canadian and international investigative current affairs programming:  from Afghanistan to Australia, from the Middle East to Africa from Central America and right here at home. Subjects range from the political and social to the cultural and environmental.   Host Christopher Heard will take you into the heart of war, new medical discoveries, environmental disasters and remedies, smoldering conflicts, and social injustices – and so much more.

Odyssey - (Mon to Thurs @ 10pm ET) explores a wide variety of subjects, from why humans believe in a higher being, to why men are violent, and whether or not they can change; from when  “love” can bring out dangerous passions such as jealousy and anger to the eternal truths only a mother can know; from how Jackie Robinson changed the course of social history, to what made Nikola Tesla one of the greatest inventors of the 20th century. So…if you have ever wondered why we do the things we do or why we are the way we are, then you need to watch ichannel’s new series, Odyssey.

Dispatch  - (Mon to Thurs @ 7pm ET) At every moment of every day, on the sea, land and in the air, there are people who put their life on the line.  Some do it for patriotic reasons, some do it for the thrill of it, and many do it to help others.  Join us as we trek across deserts, visit with ice mummies, fight fires with women smokejumpers, dodge bullets and artillery shells with combat cameramen, deliver medicines with jungle pilots or gingerly clown around with Jane Goodall and her chimpanzees on ichannel’s new series, Dispatch.

Love is a 4 Letter Word  - (Fri @10pm ET) All the way from Down Under, this hip, sexy new series features some of Australia hottest new talent.  Love is a Four Letter Word is about life, love and everything in between.  Set in an inner city pub, Angus, Albee and Paul are born from the "you can have it all" generation. They don't have to get married, be monogamous, have kids, hold a job, love their families or be sane.  No wonder they're a little bewildered.  A Canadian television premiere, only on ichannel.
